Folksonomy Capture: User-Driven Metadata Management

Empower permitted users to capture searchable, user-defined, key/value pairs of metadata, without having to wait for the formal taxonomy to be fully implemented

The Folksonomy Capture component enables users with the requisite permissions to capture user-defined key/value pairs of metadata, which are searchable. This empowers organizations to crowd-source their users’ taxonomy needs. Users create taxonomy key/value pairs as needed without having to wait for formal taxonomy structures to be designed and implemented.

Governance bodies, IT, and power-users can periodically review this crowd-sourced taxonomy to determent which key/value pairs to implement in the formal taxonomy.Users can create taxonomy key/value pairs as needed without having to wait for formal taxonomy structures to be designed and implemented by IT, power-users, or governance bodies. The Folksonomy Capture component is part of the User Adoption Package, which also includes the Taxonomy Tiles and Advanced Search components.

The User Adoption Package is licensed as an annual subscription and priced based on the number of Microsoft 365 Users. To have a quote emailed to you, please select the number of users in the slider below and then click the Request a Quote button at the bottom.
