Methodology
We follow rigorous design principles and employ a proven software development methodology based on a combination of the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) and Agile Methods, principally Lean Software Development tenants, SCRUM project management and Use-Case driven
requirements.
Taking from the best of various practices, we've developed our own hybrid methodology dubbed the ShareSquared Solution Framework (SSF) also referred to as the Successful Solution Framework. The net result is a solution process that is characterized by:
- Well defined project roles, responsibilities, objectives and metrics
- A uniform, simple and non-technical means for describing requirements
- An agile project management process that facilitates short, iterative development and deployment cycles (A.K.A "sprints")
- A high degree of customer involvement in the solution and communication with the customer
- A commitment to quality and customer ROI
Internally we use Team Foundation Server (TFS) to manage projects, track enhancements, monitor defect resolution and as a source code repository. We also expose a SharePoint based customer portal that gives customers a 24/7 view into project progress, contacts, outstanding issues, project artifacts, alerts about project plan changes, etc. Best of all, the portal was developed using SharePoint so customers become comfortable with the technology in the process of deploying their solution.
